This colored line painting is of Rembrandt. He made many self-portraits in his life time. Yet as artists we make self-portraits in everything we do. Art is the therapy of the soul; we have to reveal it to heal it. This style actually evolved from the primitive colors of the postimpressionistic period. Local color was less important than the value expressed.
